I just installed AVR Studio a few days ago. The old drive was getting sick, so I replaced it. This XP installation was cloned from another hard drive. I don't know if there is anything different with this system that would cause this. Not surprising that it can't be found because it doesn't exist on my XP machines.Īpparemtly the dwmapi.dll thing shows up because ieframe.dll wants it and we users of I.E.7 are getting the Vista version of ieframe.dll. AVR studio can't find it when running from an admin account either, but it works okay anyway. Anyone know what changes I should make? It seems like a problem with AVR studio because I haven't encountered this with any other program.īy the way, I've read posts here where people run the dependency walker and see that dwmapi.dll can't be found. I guess if I gave some permissions to my user account it would run. When I run from an admin account I get two entries there.

The 'Select device and debug platform' window has no entries in the 'Debug platform:' box. I then can't run the simulator, among other things. But when I run from a non-admin account I get a little message box that says 'No compilers/assemblers installed'. It works fine when I run it from an admin account. I just installed AVR studio version 4.13 on XP.
